Topic: Restoration for reinvasion resistance following control of the invasive grass Phragmites australis &  Restoring our underwater forests: can native revegetation enhance invasion resistance in lakes?

Presenters: 

Clarissa Moore is a second year PhD student in Conservation Sciences at the University of Minnesota investigating wetland revegetation. This work, in collaboration with our invasive Phragmites extension program, is intended to enhance reinvasion resistance after invasive species control. Clarissa previously worked on insect cold-tolerance research in the Entomology department. She received her B.A. in Biological Sciences from Wellesley College. 

Abha Panda is a fourth year Ph.D. candidate in Conservation Sciences at the University of Minnesota, where she studies how to restore native aquatic plant communities in lakes after invasive species management. She received her B.S. in Environmental Studies from the University of Michigan and has previously held research and communications roles related to water resources and environmental justice.
